Welcome to Art of Small Things. I’m Laura Silver, an artist and certified death doula based in Calgary, Alberta. My work explores the beauty found in the tiniest details—drawing inspiration from microscopic imagery, spirituality, and quantum physics. I’ve spent years painting and working with textiles, focusing on the hidden symmetry we often overlook. Now, as I begin my Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Alberta University of the Arts, this space is where I share my journey. You’ll also discover inspiring female artists from around the world, their creative processes, and the many small things that shape our lives.
